Goa Government primary school students sing to FIGHT the Christians ? !

On February 28, 2005, well known Goan writer Ethel da Costa sent TGF the following post:

"Dear Ex-Chief Minister, (Manohar Parrikar)

Let me share a school song sung by the children of Government Primary School, Porvorim this Republic Day, January 26, during flag hoisting. It chilled the warmth in my blood, as also the guests witness to the function. I wonder your reaction when you read this. I would suppose you know where this is coming from.

'Hum hai Hindustan ke bache,
Aage badte jaayega,
Muslim ko bagayege,
Christian se ladenge
Kyonki hum hai Hindustan ke bache
Aage badte jayege...'

Harmless school children went back home happy, singing a `harmless' school song. The teachers stood there and watched."

TGF comment:

This is the Hindi to English translation of the above quoted song:

We are the children of Hindustan
We will continue moving forward
We will drive away the Muslims
We will fight the Christians
Because we are the children of Hindustan
We will continue moving forward

Drive away the Muslims & Fight the Christians ?!

TGF does NOT blame the communalist BJP for this. Their cards are well known. TGF blames the Goan Catholics who have shamelessly supported and voted for these right wing Hindu communalists.

Shame on you Goan Catholic supporters of  communalism.

Shame on the hypocrites in the Goa Press who said NOT a word about this horrible and discriminatory school song sung by the children of Government Primary School, Porvorim on Republic Day 2005.

And what about the relative silence of the the Konkani-Fogis and the normally but selectively vocal disgruntled ex-Jesuits on this matter? The less said about those eejuts, the better.
