The contribution we Goans have made to the world, be it in the field of politics, education, music, health, sports, you name
it - is immense. The new millennium will spur us Goans even further to contribute our talents to all people all over the world.
Recently, I led over 208 delegates from California to the National Summit On Africa (NSOA) in Washington, D.C. We were addressed by President Bill Clinton, the President of Kenya, among many. At the end of the NSOA we presented the Congress of the United States and other entities from the corporate and non-corporate world a Policy Plan Of Action for the whole of Africa.
I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and I see that the tragic death of Pio Gama Pinto is now being investigated. A great Goan leader who played an important role in gaining independence for Kenya. I also lived in Goa from 1963-1980 and participated in the daily happenings on every level.
Cyber space does afford us the opportunity to communicate and also monitor happenings all over the world. Goans, should be very proud that we have been blessed with the ability to speak many languages, communicate well, and contribute our talents to make our world a better place.
