In response to  Muslims destroyed Buddhism, NOT Hindus  by Sandeep Heble

Buddhists were attacked by violent Hindu Kings

Pravin Sabnis

Post Ashoka, Buddhism, its followers and shrines, were attacked by the then violent, feudal Hindu kings. That is history!

Now picture this.

A leper is shunned by his society and religion as a sinner.

A man comes along and showers his love and attention on him and many others like him.

He tells about his religion and insists that the shunned lepers join it to save his soul.

They convert.

Enough to provoke goons to burn that man and his two little children. What bizarre logic can justify such heinous crimes?

People who use distorted history to justify their perverted behavior are offering the "perfect excuse" to goons to unleash their attacks under the guise of undoing wrongs.

There is no need to hold a torch for the Islamic, Christian or Hindu fundamentalism.

Anyway, let's move ahead to questioning visible invasions of religion to our roads and public spaces, audible attacks on our senses and vocal vitriol against science.
